City and Guilds Qualifications

 

C&E Equestrian are offering the chance to train (for free!) and achieve a City and Guilds qualification.

Ffrwd Uchaf Farm is an approved teaching and assessment centre for Coleg Gwent.

We are offering City & Guilds Diplomas in Work Based Horse Care and Riding Levels 1 & 2.

These are practical qualifications that are based on actual competence, with underpinning knowledge of tasks assessed.
(Level 1 is equivalent to 2 x GCSEs Grades D-G and broadly Stage 1; Level 2 is equivalent to 2 x GCSEs grades A-C and broadly Stage 2).

Training hours are very flexible and can be arranged around work and other commitments.

Theoretical and practical tasks will be assessed at the yard and evidence is gathered into a portfolio throughout the year. There is no end of course examination!!

Applicants must be 16 and over and will be assessed on entry to see which is the most appropriate level for them.

The courses are free to all applicants! (Ffrwd Uchaf Farm may charge for additional riding lessons by negotiation).
